社会正义 Certificate Program

Social justice is the assertion of the ideal that all humans should have the same rights and opportunities. From access to healthcare to safe spaces to live, 社会 justice aims to level the playing field and eliminate discrimination. T在这里 are four interrelated principles of 社会 justice: equity, access, participation, and rights.

The ISU 社会正义 Certificate Program is a self-paced, comprehensive program designed to encourage and recognize student leadership education and experiences at Indiana State University. The program is adaptable so a variety of students can work toward completing this certificate.

The ISU 社会正义 Certificate Program Outcomes

• Demonstrate skills for engaging and addressing issues of diversity and 社会 justice.
• Understand the power dynamics associated with difference and dominance/oppression, and their impact on human functioning and 社会 relations within and across diverse groups.
• Understand how structural inequities in society are shaped by historical, 心理, 社会, 政治因素.
• Demonstrate awareness of oppressive assumptions, 偏见, and prejudices that facilitate a stance of dominance, as well as identify w在这里 these 偏见, prejudices and assumptions rest in institutions.
• Develop methods for continuing this life long process of recognizing our 偏见, learning how to change oppressive systems, and building a more 社会ly just, equitable multicultural society

• Please use this link to submit proof of completion for Sections A, B, C & D 
• This means that you will come back to this link each time you have completed a section

Certificate Management

学生 participating in the ISU 社会正义 Certificate Program will find all certificate information on the Office of Multicultural 服务 and Programs, 大学学院, and 职业中心 website. Participation and completion will be tracked and monitored by the Office of Multicultural 服务 and Programs.

The Office Multicultural 服务 and Programs will meet with the student and verify that the requirements are completed.

就业中心 will process the certification and note it on the student’s Co-Curricular Record. 就业中心, 大学学院, and Office Multicultural 服务 and Programs will jointly issue the ISU 社会正义 Certificate.
